Job Title: Senior Superintendent – Data Centers

Overview:

Capstone America's have been mandated to source a highly experienced and motivated Senior Superintendent with a strong background in data center construction to join our clients  Mission Critical business unit. As part of a renowned General Contractor with a track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects, this is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking team while leading high-profile data center projects in New York and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead the on-site construction teams for data center projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the efficient and successful execution of all phases of the project.

• Work Winning: Act as a key representative of the General Contractor’s Mission Critical unit, assisting with business development activities, client relations, and promoting the company’s capabilities in the data center sector.

• Quality Control & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of safety and quality control on all job sites, implementing best practices to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with local regulations and safety protocols.

• Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to manage expectations and foster positive working relationships.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior superintendents and on-site personnel, ensuring their professional growth and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with at least 5 years specifically focused on data center construction or Mission Critical projects.

• Proven Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage large-scale construction projects, and effectively communicate across various levels of the organization.

• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data center construction processes, including power, cooling, IT infrastructure, and security systems.

• Work Winning Ability: Proven experience in helping to win new business, including client presentations, proposal development, and project pitch activities.

• Safety & Compliance: Solid understanding of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and other industry standards, particularly in the data center and Mission Critical sectors.

• Education: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory with the right level of experience.
