Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Industrial Construction Project Manager to lead the execution of complex water and wastewater treatment facility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large-scale industrial infrastructure projects, with specific expertise in the design, construction, and commissioning of water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead all phases of construction projects for municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment facilities, from pre-construction through final turnover.
  • Collaborate with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project specifications align with regulatory and operational requirements.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial tracking.
  • Review and negotiate vendor contracts and change orders to control project expenditures.

Schedule Management

  • Create and maintain detailed construction schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet project milestones and deadlines.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Direct and oversee subcontractors, field crews, and construction partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the owner, regulatory agencies, design teams, and contractors.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all work adheres to federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Conduct routine inspections and enforce quality control standards.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records including RFIs, submittals, daily logs, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to internal leadership and client representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction projects in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Knowledge of treatment plant operations, piping systems, pumps, chemical feed systems, and SCADA integration.
  • Familiarity with public sector construction practices, including bidding, permitting, and inspection processes.
  • PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Design-build or CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) project delivery experience.
  • Experience working with municipalities, utility agencies, or engineering consultants.
  • LEED or Envision sustainability experience is a plus.
