Project Manager, Owner's Representative

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Salary: $120,000-$135,000 + Bonus

Our client is a leading construction Project & Cost Management firm serving diverse industries, including corporate, legal, financial, media & entertainment, hospitality, healthcare, education, real estate development, non-profits, retail, and critical facilities. Headquartered in New York City, the company has a strong national presence. They support clients from initial planning and site selection through design, development, construction oversight, and final occupancy.

With a solid reputation and a robust pipeline of upcoming projects, our client is expanding its Project Management services. As a Project Manager, you'll play a key role in their growing banking division, focusing on high-profile corporate interior design and renovation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction.
• Oversee multiple large and complex projects within the division.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial processes, including budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, collections, subcontractor payments, change orders, and contractual obligations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, landlords, brokers, and other key stakeholders.
• Foster positive subcontractor relationships and manage Assistant Project Managers and other team members assigned to projects.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with project financials.
• Manage change orders and RFIs (Requests for Information).

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management.
• Experience working on commercial interiors projects.
• Candidates with on-site experience are highly preferred.
• Experience working with an Owners Representative firm.
• A bachelor's degree or higher education.
