Assistant Project Manager POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reports To: Senior Project Manager FLSA Status: ExemptSUMMARY
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) collaborates with the Project Superintendent (PS) to guide a project from turnover through construction, close-out, and final billing. This role ensures adherence to our processes, procedures, safety standards, and budget requirements, ultimately delivering projects to clients' satisfaction. The APM initiates, manages, and controls all project documentation, providing continuous Project Management support throughout the construction process, including punch list and closeout.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
Collaborate with Project Services (PS) to analyze projects, determine scope, develop project schedule requirements, and coordinate purchasing and installation to ensure successful project delivery within budget and on schedule.
Work with design partners, leading efforts to ensure that design timelines and proper scope are incorporated into project documents.
Collaborate with the project team to establish the Construction Management Plan (CMP) and ensure that PS establishes a safe and healthy work environment on all projects, meeting or exceeding NELCO Corporate EH&S policies.
Initiate and develop the Operational Job Budget for approval by the Project Executive.
Collaborate with PS to develop the initial project schedule and provide updates as necessary.
Follow established ISO policies and procedures.
Review and establish priorities with a Project Executive.
Review and interpret project scope and requirements for subcontractor performance based on project specifications, plans, and drawings.
Ability to establish logs and track throughout the duration of the project for the following items:
Submittals
RFI's
PCO's
Owner Change Orders
Verify job readiness and coordinate material installation with PS to ensure efficient, safe, and timely completion.
Positively influences the overall success and profitability of projects.
Collaborate with other Division personnel to establish, set, and achieve goals, developing new methods, techniques, systems, and ideas to enhance Company performance.
Work closely with PS for material acquisition.
Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervise subcontractors and/or tradesmen for project execution.
