Role: General Superintendent
Location: New York
Salary: $150,000-$200,000 + extensive company benefits & bonus

Capstone Americas are partnering with a longstanding client and leading mid-sized general contracting firm, widely regarded as one of the top GCs in the New York market. This firm maintains long-established partnerships with several F500 clients across the retail, technology, hospitality, luxury, and grocery sectors.

Due to their outstanding reputation and exceptional project execution, this GC firm has a robust project pipeline, with no signs of slowing down. As a result, they are seeking to expand their operations team in their New York office with an experienced General Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site operations and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve any issues and maintain progress.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise site staff, including foremen and subcontractors.
• Monitor schedules and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Oversee daily reports, documentation, and project close-out processes.
• Act as the key liaison between site operations and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a superintendent or leadership role.
• Must have extensive experience in the New York market and have a strong network.
• Strong preference for retail or commercial project experience in the New York market.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects in the $2-$10 million range.
• OSHA-30 certification preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and project management tools such as Procore.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and manage construction documents.
• Familiarity with the New York construction landscape, regulations, and subcontractor base.

Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and currently based in the U.S., ideally with experience in the New York market.
