About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their New York team. This role is ideal for a professional with 8+ years of experience in estimating who thrives in a dynamic, high-profile commercial construction environment. As a key contributor, you will help shape the success of groundbreaking projects while working alongside industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Manage and mentor junior estimators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to define project scopes and refine cost projections.
• Oversee quantity take-offs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across estimates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while contributing to value engineering initiatives.
• Drive bid preparation, lead client presentations, and support contract negotiations.
• Maintain and enhance cost databases and estimation tools for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong focus on commercial projects.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Proficiency with estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Timberline).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring and team development.
• Familiarity with New York's commercial construction landscape and its unique challenges.
