Job Description:

As a Junior Construction Estimator, you will work closely with senior estimators and project managers to assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career in construction estimating and gain hands-on experience in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and evaluate proposals.
• Assist in preparing bid packages and submitting proposals to clients.
• Analyze historical data and industry trends to refine estimating techniques.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accuracy and feasibility of estimates.
• Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings to gain a better understanding of project requirements.
• Maintain an organized database of cost estimates and project documentation.
• Support value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or a related role.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and estimating principles.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
